Where should I start?

Our recomendation is that you begin your research by reading an introductory overview of what happened in South Africa between 1948 and 1994 from the Gale Group Databases. (See the pdf file in the box below.) Then, find a book on the subject in the MA Library from the catalog or from other MA databases to find more reference materials and scholarly articles.  Once you have a good sense of the people and issues involved, then check out the other electronic resources listed in the box on the far right.  They are full of excellent primary resources.
